Resilience features the work of ten young artists who participated in the 2009 edition of PHE Discoveries in Latin America. From a total of 342 photographers resident in the region, a jury named by PHotoEspaña made a selection of 40 projects to participate in the review of portfolios that took place at the Spanish
Cultural Centers in Mexico City and Lima. This edition represents a heterodox look at contemporary photographic approaches, in which all kinds of styles and subjects have found a place.
Claudi Carreras is an independent curator and editor, and a photography researcher at the University of Barcelona’s Department of Design and Image.
Instituto Cervantes is an institution in Madrid that was founded by the Spanish government in 1991 to promote and spread the Spanish language and Spanish and Hispanic-American culture.
