The title of the book stems a Kris Kristofferson song, that frames the mood of this book. It is the angst and the wish to escape that unites the subjects of Modigh’s pictures: young male prostitutes and transsexuals in San Francisco.
About the artist:
Hannah Modigh was born in Stockholm but spent big parts of her childhood in India and on österlen in the south of Sweden. She has during her adult life lived in Paris and Copenhagen and is now living and working in Stockholm.
