Candidiate is a self published photographic observation of a campaign and its outcome, focusing on Aodhán Ó Riordán – Minister of State for New Communities, Culture and Equality in the Fine Gael /Labour coalition government of the 31st Dáil between July 2014 and May 2016.
About the Artist
After a long career in IT, John Carroll now works full time as a professional photographer. He graduated from Griffith College Dubin’s degree course in Photographic Media in 2016, and was nomiated for the RDS Visual Arts awards and Inspirational Arts award. He has also exhibited in the RHA Annual Exhibition and has been purchased by the OPW. John’s documentary practice has a focus on Irish community, with his projects based mostly in Dublin.
