About the Artist
Fergus Feehily is an artist, born in Dublin (1968) , he currently lives and works in Berlin and Helsinki. Solo exhibitions include The Paradise, 2012 and Pavilion, 2009 both at The Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin, Concentrations 54: Matt Connors and Fergus Feehily, Dallas Museum of Art, 2011, and Makeshifts and Endpapers, Neuer Aachener Kunstverein, 2008. Group shows include Painter Painter, Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, Why not live for Art? II – 9 collectors reveal their treasures, Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery, Changing States: Contemporary Irish Art & Francis Bacon’s Studio, Bozar – Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels, all 2013, and Time out of Mind, Irish Museum of Modern Art, 2012. His work is included in the collections An Chomhairle Ealaíon /The Arts Council of Ireland, Dallas Museum of Art and the Irish Museum of Modern Art. He is currently Professor of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts, University of the Arts, Helsinki.
