The Unnameable was shot on location in France and in an abandoned nursery for disabled children in London. The title is a reference to both H.P Lovecraft and Samuel Beckett’s “Unnamables,” stories that melt in and out of reality and psychosis. Their characters fear what they know and what eludes them. The Unnameable was kindly supported by the Arts Council of Ireland.

In 2011 Gaffney graduated from the Royal College of Art’s MA Photography & Moving Image.
