Europas. Guía PHotoEspaña
The nineteenth edition of PHotoEspaña held between June 1 and August 28, 2016. The International Festival of Photography and Visual Arts proposes this time an overview of the photographic medium in Europe, after addressing the Spanish and Latin American photography . The artistic program will feature exhibitions with which to analyze the very concept of Europe: what is, what was or how it is shaping the continent social, geographical, political, economic or creative terms. Among the exhibitions are monographs Bernard Plossu and Spanish artist Linarejos Moreno . Also collective transitions, which addresses the social tensions of the decade between 1979 and 1989 by authors like Chris Killip, Jean Marc Bustamante, Candida Höfer and Boris Mikhailov , among others, or At the gates of Paradise! A exhibition reflects on migratory movements through works from the collection of the Musée Nicephore Niepce alongside those of contemporary artists such as Peter Knapp, Mathieu Pernot, Antoine d’Agata and John Batho.
